BSN Programs in Arizona
An aging Baby Boomer population and an increased life expectancy across the nation make the nursing profession a highly promising and lucrative career choice to consider. There are many ways to break into the field, but one of the most popular approaches is to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Many aspiring healthcare professionals will attend a BSN program in Arizona to gain the proper training and credentials needed to assume the responsibilities of a registered nurse or another related specialty.

Schools With BSN Programs in Arizona

  • The BSN program offered through the College of Nursing & Health Innovation at Arizona State University is accredited by the CCNE and accommodates students at a campus located in downtown Phoenix. The school is home to four program options, including the traditional pre-licensure clinical nursing program, which sees a student complete prerequisite coursework before advancing into the upper-division clinical nursing program. Students typically finish this program within 16 to 24 months.
  • The online RN to BSN program at Arizona State caters to students with an associate degree in nursing or a nursing diploma and is generally completed in 18 to 24 months. The post-baccalaureate BSN accommodates students with a non-nursing undergraduate degree and involves taking nursing prerequisites and completing a 12-month upper-division clinical nursing program that is only offered in the spring.
  • Offering a CCNE accredited four-year degree program, an accelerated year-round BSN program (for students with a non-nursing degree), and an online RN-to-BSN Program, Northern Arizona University, located in Flagstaff, is a popular choice for nurses looking to earn an undergraduate degree in nursing. Class instruction is also offered in Tucson and Yuma, as well as provides the first Bachelor of Science in Nursing program located within an American Indian Nation at the Navajo Nation in Arizona.
  • The College of Nursing at the University of Arizona is located in the city of Tucson and offers a BSN program that requires candidates to submit an online application, personal statement, work history, and disclosure questionnaire. Applicants are also required to maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA for prerequisite courses and post-secondary coursework. Examples of courses that students typically encounter while in the University’s program include Mental Health Nursing, Nursing Pharmacology, and Population Health & Community Nursing.
  • The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at Grand Canyon University offers residents of Arizona a nursing curriculum and clinical preparation that stays in line with a values-based Christian education. Students may choose from three different approaches to study: pre-licensure (traditional and fast track) and the RN-to-BSN program for licensed, registered nurses. Those in the fast-track BSN Nursing program can complete a degree in about 20 months by taking classes year-round. In addition to the University’s Phoenix campus instruction for BSN Nursing pre-licensure, students may also learn at A.T. Still University, Scottsdale Health Care, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, Tucson, and even Albuquerque, New Mexico.
  • Students with a high school diploma or GED may enter the BSN program at Brookline College, which offers on-campus instruction in Phoenix. At the end of the 120-week program, graduates are prepared to sit for the NCLEX-RN to fully earn the credentials of a registered nurse. The school also has an accelerated 60-week program for students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree in a different field.
  • The CCNE accredited program offered at Chamberlain College of Nursing has wide-ranging opportunities to earn an undergraduate degree in nursing. The school has a flexible RN-to-BSN program that provides online instruction that students can complete in as little as three semesters. Students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program can finish their studies in as few as three years by following a year-round curriculum. This program is offered in 13 locations across the U.S., including Phoenix, Arizona.
